Can Stress Induce Diabetes?

How stress influences people with different types of diabetes?
The organisms of people with type 1 and type 2 diabetes may have a different reaction towards the same situations. The effect also depends on the nature of stressful situation. If it is mental stress, patients with type 1 diabetes may react differently: the level of glucose in such patients grows, while some of them experience a contrary reaction. It is vital for type 1 diabetics to keep a constant glucose control when under stress.

Individuals suffering from type 2 diabetes usually have elevated blood glucose on the background of mental stress.

  • Start exercising. Physical exercises are not only perfect prophylaxis to diabetes, they also help to lower blood sugar by making your muscles work. The more you workout, the more glucose your muscles use. As a result, the amount of sugar in the blood flow lowers.

Dealing with stress is not easy, nevertheless, if you want to avoid such a serious disease as diabetes, you should keep your nerves under control. Those, who already have this affliction may significantly reduce the probability of various diabetes complications on the background of stress.
